CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Recreation Commission needs 30 additional lifeguards in order to operate under normal summer conditions.  They say there is no danger of pools not opening and safety will never be compromised, but additional lifeguards are needed to maintain staffing levels throughout the summer.

CRC’s next Lifeguard Training Course begins Tuesday, May 29th at 9 a.m. at Ryan Pool, 3324 Meyer Place, 45211.  The class runs 9-5 through Saturday, June 2nd.  Potential lifeguards are screened for their swimming abilities in breaststroke and freestyle the first morning.  Applications will be completed at course end and lifeguards will start immediately.

The Otto Armleder Aquatic Facility at Dunham Recreation Complex opens Saturday, May 26th at 12:30pm along with all of CRC spraygrounds.  The remaining city pools open Monday, June 4th.  Call 513-357-POOL for more information.
