CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Downtown Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank Wednesday announced the introduction of its Duo Card, a combined credit and debit card providing customers the convenience of conducting all card transactions with one plastic. PETA to send "Naked Corpses" to the Square

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Putting a twist on years of anti-fur protests with "naked" participants, PETA claims three of its members will appear across from Fountain Square in Downtown Cincinnati on Wednesday; naked, and in coffins.

PETA says the three will lie naked in coffins decorated with flowers and hold signs that read, "We Wouldn’t Be Caught Dead in Animal Skins," with the intent of exposing the cruelty of the fur, leather, and wool industries in Cincinnati.  Other activists will hold signs reading, "Wear Your Own Skin—Let Animals Keep Theirs," and hand out leaflets asking residents to cross all animal skins off their shopping lists.

"I'll gladly bare some of my skin if it will help save animals' skins," says Ann Cashell, one of the "deceased" protesters.

Independent restaurants offer rewards card program

Independent restaurants offer rewards card program

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The 26 members of Greater Cincinnati Independent Restaurants have recently launched a new program that rewards our patrons with points that can later be converted to discounts on future visits.

Using the group's Rewards Card, local foodies could ultimately knock up to $100 off their next tab.

"We hope the program creates loyalty to independent restaurants in the community," says Michelle Brown-Kilimnik, the executive chef at Jag's Steak and Seafood in West Chester. "We not only want people to dine in our restaurant, but sample all the other great independents around the city. We want to increase the awareness of the great food Cincinnati has to offer."

Local, independently operated restaurants provide the soul and distinctive flavors of food that help define a sense of place. We create local fare with local flair that are original to Greater Cincinnati.

The program is straightforward.
