Starting June 10th Cincinnatians can experience a new farm-to-table upscale restaurant. Hyatt Regency Cincinnati announced the opening of Red Roost Tavern today as a part of its $20 million hotel makeover that began in December 2012 and will be completed later this summer.

The food served will be provided by two dozen farms, distilleries and vendors throughout Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Guests can expect meals like Ohio Grass Fed Ribeye and Sweet Corn Soup with Smoked Tomato Jam that feature hormone-free meat, organic produce, and high quality beer. In addition to its healthy locally-made cuisine the restaurant also offers a home-like environment with locally-made reclaimed wood table tops, warm color walls and a variety of seating for all type of gatherings.

OVER-THE-RHINE, OH (FOX19) - A family-owned pastry shop is setting up space in Over-the Rhine.

Holtman’s Donuts signed a lease Tuesday morning at 1332 Vine Street on the ground floor of the Trinity Flats building at Mercer and Vine streets in OTR.

Donuts will be made fresh daily on-site, and the shop hours will likely mirror those of the Loveland store, open from 4:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. some nights.

Charles Holtman started the business in 1960, and his daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Chuck Plazarin, now operate two Holtman’s Donuts in Loveland, Ohio and Williamsburg, Ohio. Toni and Chuck’s son, Danny Plazarin, will open the new location with his fiancé, this summer.

CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) - Visitors to the newest destination in Clifton now have a place to park and shop and soon there will be places to grab and meal.

Style shop Rue 21 is now open to customers at U Square @ the Loop. The mixed-use property of residental and retail space covers two city blocks between McMillan and Calhoun streets. The project has been in the planning and construction stages for years.

Owners of the Keystone Bar & Grill made an official announcement on Monday that U Square will be their next location. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will feature a 24-seat patio overlooking U Square’s piazza, a green space that will often be used for social, musical, cultural and neighborhood events throughout the year. There are two area Keystone bars in Covingtion anf Hyde Park.
