Tuskegee Airmen bill receives first hearing in Ohio House
COLUMBUS (FOX19) - Legislation introduced by State Representative Denise Driehaus (D-Clifton) received its first hearing Wednesday today in the Transportation, Public Safety, and Homeland Security Committee. House Bill 57 would designate the entire portion of Interstate 75 within Ohio as the “Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Trail.” The trail would be marked by intermittent signs along the highway.
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to honor the courage of the Tuskegee Airmen,” said Rep. Driehaus. “It is my hope that this very visible designation will remind others of the incredible legacy left by these courageous Americans.”
