Paramedic student receives Unsung Hero scholarship award
CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) - Kristi Michelle Heidi, a student in Cincinnati State’s paramedic program, has been awarded a scholarship valued at more than $4,500.
The scholarship is funded through money raised during the 2011inaugural Unsung Hero Award scholarship event.
The Unsung Hero Award was established by Cincinnati State to recognize individuals who in the course of their everyday job performance consistently exceed expectations, and do so out of the limelight. The College designed the program to raise money for a scholarship fund for unemployed and underemployed workers with financial need who wish to participate in training through Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center (WDC). The WDC offers a variety of training programs, many designed to elevate the skills that workers can take to prospective employers or use to advance their careers with their current employers.
