CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - High school students in the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati Youth in City Government program presented LightHouse Youth Services with a $200 check on Wednesday, May 1.

The teens raised the money by holding a LightHouse Rock benefit concert that featured three local bands.

“The concert was a lot of fun,” said Chris Rosing of Oak Hills High School.  “We are always looking for volunteer opportunities  that will help other teens in our community,” said Allie Quarry, a junior at Mt. Notre Dame High School.  “The Ys program focuses so much on youth development, we felt holding a fundraiser for LightHouse was the best choice,” said Benita Munnerlyn of Loveland.

The YMCA Youth in City Government program  is part of a national YMCA effort that involves thousands of teens nationwide in state-organized, model-government programs.
