New Downtown street to connect Ball Park to Stadium

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An early morning concrete pour will complete the structural deck for Freedom Way East to West at The Banks development on Cincinnati’s riverfront. The pour is scheduled to begin Friday, April 1 at 2 a.m. and continue through 7 a.m. until 1,100 cubic yards of concrete are poured in place to form the structural deck of Freedom Way.

This is a major concrete pour for a new street City street downtown. When completed, Freedom Way will connect Great American Ball Park to Paul Brown Stadium.

Part of The Banks development, Freedom Way and the parking facilities beneath form the foundation for private development of apartments, restaurants, entertainment, retail and future hotel and office uses along Cincinnati’s riverfront.

About 30 people will be involved in the pouring. Scheduling at this early hour will ensure ready access to concrete in the volume required, and prevent downtown traffic disruptions as a result of the numerous concrete truck deliveries to the pour site.
