CPS board votes to sell old SCPA building

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Public School Board took a vote on Wednesday to sell the old home of The School for Creative and Performing Arts in Pendleton.

FOX19 obtained the resolution which states that the old SCPA building on Sycamore Street is being offered for just over 8.5 million dollars.

The new SCPA building that faces Central Parkway opened for students in August 2010.

Assistant Communications Manager Chris Wolff says that by law the building must be offered to area charter schools. Wolff says the charter schools have 60 days to make a bid for the building.
