Reds, Ticketmaster teaming up with Kroger | News

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- Cincinnati Reds fans can now purchase tickets for the 2012 season at Ticketmaster retail outlets inside 57 Kroger stores in Cincinnati, Dayton, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana.

"Expanding the number of retail outlets where Reds fans can buy their game tickets is one of many positive outcomes resulting from partnering with Ticketmaster," said Phil Castellini, Reds Chief Operating Officer. "Having Kroger stores selling Reds tickets makes it easier than ever for our fans to come to a game." 

The 57 Kroger locations extend from Sidney, Ohio in the north, Maysville, Ky. in the south, Mt. Orab, Ohio to the east and Lawrenceburg, Ind. to the west.

"The partnership between Kroger and the Reds has very deep roots," said Rachael Betzler, Public Affairs Manager for the Cincinnati/Dayton Division of Kroger. "Now our customers can buy tickets to see the Reds at the Kroger Ticketmaster stores and this is a great addition to our partnership and, more importantly, another convenience and value for our customers."

Tickets may be purchased at the Kroger customer service desk. On sale now is the 10-game Reds Power Pack, which guarantees Opening Day tickets. Beginning Saturday at 9 a.m., single game tickets will go on sale for the 2012 season, not including the April 5 Opening Day game.

"We are delighted to be working with the Reds to offer their fans another convenient ticket buying option in area Kroger stores," said Clay Luter, Ticketmaster Senior Vice President of Stadium, Outdoor and College Sports.

The Reds and Kroger are offering a season long bonus to fans purchasing tickets to weekday games when they buy their tickets at the Ticketmaster retail outlets inside select Kroger stores. Buy one ticket to a Monday-Thursday game in the Mezzanine or Terrace Line sections and get a voucher good for one free "Kroger Meal Deal" at a Great American Ball Park concession stand. The Kroger Meal Deal is a regular hot dog, 16 oz. Coca-Cola soda, bag of chips and snack, a $8 value. The offer is not good for the April 5 or July 18 games.

To kick off single game ticket sales on Saturday, February 25 and to celebrate the partnership with Kroger and Ticketmaster, Reds mascots, members of the John Morrell Reds Rally Pack and the Reds Rover SUV will visit the following Kroger stores:
