CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- Less than 12 hours after his New England Patriots lost in the Super Bowl, Chad Ochocinco was in a Hamilton County courtroom.
The former Bengals wide receiver appeared before Judge Russell Mock for driving with a suspended license and a window tinting violation from July of 2011. The case had been continued several times.
As part of a plea agreement, Ochocinco pleaded guilty to the suspended license charge and had the tinted window violation waived. Ochocinco said he was not aware that his license was suspended, and his attorney told Judge Mock that it has been taken care of.
Judge Mock gave Ochocinco a $200 fine that must paid by March 26. Mock said the fine could have been larger if the Patriots had won Super Bowl XLVI.
Ochocinco tweeted Monday morning, "Court appearance done in Cincinnati, having to appear in court for window tint being to (sic) dark is a bit extreme, nonetheless no jail time."
Ochocinco was traded from the Bengals to the Patriots after last season.
