Councilman opposes high-end porta potty in Findlay Market | News
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Councilman Chris Smitherman released a statement Tuesday afternoon opposing a proposal for a high-end restroom at Findlay Market.
Councilman Chris Seelbach proposed the single, open-air restroom run by solar panels and made of graffiti resistant material, valued at $100,000.
Smitherman says it should not be a priority.
"I am confident that spending a $100,000 on toilets is the wrong direction. Advancing a motion to spend $100, 000 on toilets is grossly irresponsible," Smitherman said.
Seelbach has said the improvement to Findlay Market would be worth the money, and the funding would come from the capital budget or facilities management budget.
