CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- Cincinnati's new Horseshow Casino has kicked off its 12-week Table Games Service Academy.
About 750 students are taking part of the training as the casino prepares for its spring 2013 opening.
Table Games Director Jay Bean says table game positions were recruited first because they require the most training. At the 240-hour hands-on academy, students learn game rules and techniques to deal and operate popular table games that will be offered at Horseshoe Casino, such as craps, poker, blackjack, Pai Gow, roulette and mini-Baccarat.
Horseshoe will offer employment to students to successfully graduate from the Academy, and dealers and supervisors will begin working when the casino is open.
In total, Horseshoe Casino is creating 1,700 new casino jobs.
