Ribbon cutting Monday at new downtown hotel

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The 21C Museum Hotel has an opening ceremony scheduled Monday for its new Cincinnati hotel.

A 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting event will feature remarks from Steven Wilson, CEO and founder, along with Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory.

More than three years in the making, the boutique hotel replaced the former Metropole Apartments, a low-income property whose tenants took more than a year to relocate. The $56 million project opened its Metropole restaurant earlier this month.

The boutique hotel is showing on its website rooms first available Nov. 27, with nightly rates starting at $259 and running up to $519 for a suite. The hotel will have 156 guest rooms, business meeting space, a spa and a rooftop bar.

The hotel is located on Walnut Street across from the Aronoff Center.
