City prepares for winter | News
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- It may not be winter just yet, but the City of Cincinnati Winter Operations Team is ready when the snow falls.
"We have a diverse fleet to include loaders, brine trucks and even pickup trucks for smaller street. Having different types of equipment enhances our maneuverability during a snow event. As for the treatment process, we use environmentally friendly products; brine, beet juice, salt and other compounds to effectively rid our thoroughfares of debilitating ice and snow. Keeping our citizens mile is our top priority," Jarrod Bolden, Traffic and Road Operations Superintendent.
Public Services crews have been busy inspecting and calibrating equipment, reviewing snow routes and receiving weather forecasting data to prepare for the upcoming season.
