GROUPON picks Civic Garden Center as first for new project in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - GROUPON has selected the Civic Garden Center (http://www.civicgardencenter.org/) to be the first non-profit in their Cincinnati market to benefit from their G-Team program.

Simply put, GROUPON subscribers will be given the option this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to donate on line to the Civic Garden Center to help them buy dirt for neighborhood gardens.  If the threshold of 33 donations of $10 each is reached, the CGC will get the funds immediately.  It is a quick and simple way for GROUPON to partner with a well respected nonprofit to help them raise funds for a very worthy cause.

"We are thrilled that GROUPON has selected us as their first G-Team beneficiary here in Cincinnati," said Vickie Ciotti, Executive Director of the Civic Garden Center.  "We have a waiting list for new neighborhood gardens and all we need is the money to buy more dirt."
