Mercy Health to open Downtown HealthPlex and Medical Care Facility

DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Mercy Health announces on Friday that it will open a new HealthPlex and medical care facility operated by Mercy Health Physicians in the Atrium Two building in the heart of downtown Cincinnati.

“We are very excited to extend the availability of both the HealthPlex and Mercy Health Physicians to the many man and women who live and work in Cincinnati’s downtown business district,” said Mike Combes, Regional Vice President of the Mercy HealthPlexes. “Mercy Health believes in making healthcare easy. We’ve partnered with Atrium Two to offer an integrated HealthPlex and medical care facility in a convenient Downtown location to help us enhance the health and wellness of this community. 

The new Mercy Health – Downtown HealthPlex will be located on the second floor of the Atrium Two building at 221 East Fourth Street in Cincinnati’s business district. The club will be open from 5:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday. 

The Downtown HealthPlex will feature state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including:

  •       A group fitness studio
  •       A group cycling studio
  •       Fitness area equipped with the latest cardiovascular machines
  •       (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes) and strength-training equipment
  •       Locker rooms

The Downtown HealthPlex will also include Mercy Health – Downtown Medical Care, a 700-square-foot facility operated by Mercy Health Physicians, which will house a nurse practitioner. Mercy Health anticipates opening the location in January 2013.
