The TQL Dodgeball Challenge will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the recently renovated Washington Park across from Music Hall. Having outgrown its original location on Fountain Square, this third annual event will be presented by Total Quality Logistics (TQL) and hosted again by the Professional Leadership Network (PLN). Teams will square off at noon in a round-robin and then single-elimination tournament, and by 4:00 p.m., the winning team will claim the title of Dodgeball Champion of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. More than 50 teams have registered, involving 400 to 500 expected player participants. The event is also expected to draw hundreds of others as spectators to watch the dodgeball action in one or the larger events organized by young professionals in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. “Our first tournament i

Free summer workout series kicks off Saturday in Washington Park

OVER-THE-RHINE, OH (FOX19) - A free summer workout series is kicking off on Saturday, June 1 in Washington Park.

The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and 3CDC have partnered up to offer the 14 week series, led by professional instructors.

Classes will be held for one hour each Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. on June 1.

“This is a great way to try out a class like Zumba®, Boot Camp, or Yogalates,” said YMCA of Greater Cincinnati President and Chief Executive Officer Sandy Walker.  “All ages are welcome to come out and enjoy these free fitness classes designed to strengthen spirit, mind, and body.”

Wednesday's Party in the Park cancelled

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Partygoers will have to wait another week to head down to Yeatman’s Cove.

Party in the Park organizers were forced to cancel Wednesday's events due to a threat of severe weather.

The next Party in the Park is planned for Wednesday, May 29 from 5 to 10 p.m. and will feature live music from the Whammies.

Garden tour of Mount Adams coming up in June

MOUNT ADAMS, OH (FOX19) - Tour the gardens of Mount Adams while listening to live music and enjoying lite food and drinks on Tuesday, June 18.

The Mount Adams Sunset Garden Stroll is from 6pm - 9pm and will cover eight secret gardens.

Free Parking and minibus transportation will be available throughout Mt. Adams and tickets are $25 per person.

All proceeds support the planting and maintaining of the public gardens of Mt. Adams.

Power Up… READ! this summer at the Public Library

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It’s time to “power up” your reading skills and earn prizes for participating in the 40th annual Summer Reading Program at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. This year’s theme, Power Up…Read!, offers all sorts of excitement by spotlighting “superheroes.”

To kick off a fun season of reading (June 1-July 31), ALL Library locations around Hamilton County are holding Summer Reading activities related to this exciting theme on Saturday, June 1. Children and their families are invited to stop by their neighborhood Library to decorate a superhero mask (while supplies last).
