Holidays are over, but not for skaters on the Square | Events

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean the fun has to end.  Fountain Square is introducing three new skating events that will have skaters turning the ice rink into a dance floor.

Starting this Saturday, January 7 and lasting until February 18, Fountain Square offers live DJ music from 6pm to 10pm.  This week’s crew, DJ ETrayn and DJ D-Lo, will be dropping tracks and mixin’ beats all night while partygoers show off their best dance moves on and off the ice.

If you’re looking to indulge in a little family fun without breaking the bank, then you won’t want to miss this Sunday’s Family Skates event. From January 8 through February 19, from noon to 6pm, families can enjoy a few hours of carefree ice skating on Fountain Square. Even better, all children under the age of 12 receive FREE admission into the rink.  

Every Friday through February 17, starting at 6pm and lasting until 10pm, skaters will receive discount admission into the rink while they skate to music from their favorite radio stations. A different radio station will be streaming live from Fountain Square every Friday night.

Skaters will also receive $1 off the skating admission price if they qualify for one of the following:

Pay with a U.S. Bank credit or debit card

• College Student (valid ID required)
• Downtown Residents Council Member (valid ID required)
• Military, Police or Fire Department Employee (valid ID required)
