FBI cuts ribbon on new local office Thursday

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) – Thursday morning the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and program to officially open the new FBI Cincinnati Field Office in Kenwood.

FBI Assistant Director Patrick G. Findlay, Special Agent in Charge Edward J. Hanko, General Services Administration Ohio Service Center Director Michael Springer, Sycamore Township Board of Trustees President Tom Weidman, and project developer The Molasky Group of Companies’ Chairman Irwin S. Molasky, will speak at a ceremony for invited guests and the media.

Tours of the office will be available follow for the guests.

People driving by have seen the large building under construction for many months.  The new field office is next to Northbound I-71 at Montgomery Road on a new street, Ronald Reagan Drive.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Members of the Cincinnati Police Department will be honored by the Rotary Club of Cincinnati at its meeting Thursday April 19 in the Continental Room of the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel.

Rotary President Carl Kappes III will welcome Police Chief James E. Craig, who will introduce members of the Police Department to be honored for their outstanding efforts in the categories of Valor/Hero, Career Enhancement, Administrative Excellence and Superior Achievement.   Recipients of this year’s honors are Valor/Hero:  Police Officer Charles Knapp and Police Officer John Heine; Career Enhancement:  Sergeant Matthew Hammer; Administrative Excellence:  Sergeant Louise Shields; and Superior Achievement:  Lieutenant Stuart Koeppe.

Clifton Heights car robbery charges added after Northside chase arrests

 

CINCINNATI (FOX19) – Cincinnati Police have added a pair of aggravated robbery charges for a man already arrested after a foot chase involving a stolen car last week.

19-year-old Maurice Council of the Villages at Roll Hill (once known as the Fay Apartments) and previously listed as living in Avondale, is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery for taking a car at gunpoint from a 5’2, 30-year-old woman on Ohio Avenue in Clifton Heights, several blocks south of U.C.

The robbery happened on the 20th, and the next night Council was one of four people police said ran away after crashing the woman’s Honda on Colerain Avenue in Northside.  Council was arrested along with three 17-year-olds from Westwood, Avondale, and Winton Hills. Police quickly caught the suspects and found a revolver in the car’s glove box.

Police chief holds “meet and greet” Wednesday evening for new advisory board

 

CINCINNATI (FOX19) – The Cincinnati Police announced Wednesday that Police Chief James E. Craig will hold a “meet and greet” session Wednesday evening (March 14) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to outline the mission and function of the Chief’s Advisory Board for those who have expressed interest in serving as members. 

The Advisory Board will provide input for Chief Craig on issues and concerns, and will help to identify both short and long term goals, mobilize community resources, promote Department initiatives and enhance public safety.  Members will be drawn from all areas of community involvement, from grassroots activists to business and professional leaders. 

The Police Department says the Chief’s Advisory Board will aid in fostering meaningful and productive police/community partnerships and providing the information necessary for the Cincinnati Police Department to better serve those in our community.

Suspect wanted for exposing himself to victims near UC campus

Suspect wanted for exposing himself to victims near UC campus

CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) - UC Police are searching for a man accused of indecent exposure and unwelcome contact on two separate occations.

Both incidents occurred on March 8, one in Calhoun and one in Siddall. The suspect in both was described as a male, black, 18 to 20 years old, 6' to 6'2" tall, 180 lbs, with short "buzz cut" hair.
