DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The current WBO Welterweight World Champion Tim Bradley is being honored Wednesday on Fountain Square for his commitment to community service.

Cincinnati City Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld and The Ndukwe Foundation will present "Meet the Champ" at noon.

Bradley, who holds an undefeated record, beat Manny Pacquiao in June for the Welterweight title.

The Ndukwe Foundation, founded by former Bengals player Chinedum Ndukwe, is hosting Bradley as he tours various schools, community centers, and Boys & Girls Clubs around the city to discuss the importance of good decision-making and healthy living.

Councilman Sittenfeld will be presenting Bradley with an official Proclamation honoring his service to the community and efforts to inspire Cincinnati’s youth to make good decisions. “We're delighted that The Champ has come to Cincinnati to offer a positive message to our young people,” Sittenfeld said. “I hope his visit inspires many of our youth to go on to achieve great accomplishments of their own."

The event is free and open to the public and attendees will have an opportunity to meet Bradley after brief remarks.
