Annual Midwest Black Family Reunion this weekend | Community Spirit
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An annual three-day outdoor festival that celebrates the gathering of families is kicking off its 25th year on Friday.
The Midwest Black Family Reunion will once again be held at Sawyer Point and is expected to draw over 50,000 people.
The weekend of events includes a parade on Saturday, August 17 that begins at 10am at the Avondale Town Center. There is also a job fair, children's and young adult pavilion and a free concert featuring R&B group Lakeside.
The Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion Celebration was inaugurated in August 1989 in Cincinnati.
