Gateway Offers SHRM Human Resource Certification Prep Course | Business
FLORENCE, Ky. (June 20, 2012) – The Workforce Solutions Division of Gateway Community and Technical College will offer the SHRM® Learning System human resources professional training course at its Boone Campus beginning Aug. 21.
The SHRM® Learning System Course offers an in-depth overview of key areas in human resource management. Materials include six modules that correspond to the six functional areas, responsibilities, and associated knowledge as defined by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
“The SHRM course is a powerful tool to assist people in preparing for the PHR or SPHR certification exams,” said Phil Accardi, director of Gateway’s Center for Workforce Development. “The course provides a solid foundation for managing the HR challenges in today’s demanding work environment. It supplies a current reference of HR practices, broadens the perspective of functional specialists, and strengthens individual competencies and productivity.”
Course instructors are SPHR certified and have extensive work experience as human resource professionals, thereby bringing practical expertise into the classroom and giving participants an invaluable perspective on the professional world.
The SHRM® Learning System Course will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 21 through Nov. 27. The class will be taught at the Boone Campus, 500 Technology Way, Florence, KY.
