CINCINNATI – Want to learn more about doing business with Metro? In addition to Metro, large firms such as Turner Construction and Cintas will provide information on their outreach programs. A representative from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s DBE office will also participate.
Metro’s Vendor Fair will feature presentations, displays and networking opportunities designed to help all companies who would like to do business with Metro and its prime contractors. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women's Business Enterprise (WBE), Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE) are especially welcome.
“Metro is more than buses. We purchase a wide variety of goods and services, from advertising agency services to zippered coveralls. This event will connect us to potential suppliers and provide information about how they can work with us,” said Darryl Haley, Metro Executive Director of Development. “In addition, Metro has a strong commitment to supplier diversity, and as DBE officer, I want to identify all vendors who are available to work with us.”
“Diversity starts at the top at Metro,” said Terry Garcia Crews, Metro CEO and General Manager. “We represent a diverse workforce and we welcome the opportunity to work with diverse supplier resources, as well. With a total budget of almost $120 million, Metro offers a great opportunity for all companies to do business with us.”
