'Tax Exemption: 501 (C) (3) and What It Means' seminar at Main Library

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The seminar “Tax Exemption: 501 (C) (3) and What It Means” will review the process by which a nonprofit organization obtains 501(c)(3) tax exempt status and the federal and state laws impact on such organizations.

The specific focus will be on corporate organization, state and federal filing requirements and the legal obligations that are imposed. This seminar will provide the general “lay of the land” so that individuals can become comfortable with this important topic and determine whether or not any areas of concern should receive additional attention.

The question-and-answer section can provide additional depth for nonprofit organizations more familiar with tax-exempt issues.

Date:

Tuesday, March 26, at 10 a.m.

Where:

The seminar is being presented by attorney Chad N. Eckhardt in the Huenefeld Tower Room on the third floor of the Main Library. For more information, go to http://programs.cincinnatilibrary.org  or call 513-369-6900.
