CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Anderson Township Library Association recently donated a 1911 Reds roster to the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum. The roster was discovered among the donated books ATLA receives for its two annual used book sales and the group’s members decided they wanted to make sure it stayed in Cincinnati.
ATLA members Bridget Anthony, Jane Young, Jeanne Sheppard and Patricia Charles stopped by the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum last week to hand off the roster to Chief Curator Chris Eckes, who gave the ladies a tour of the museum and showed them the area for early 1900s memorabilia where the roster will eventually be displayed.
And even though the vintage roster is not up for grabs at the June 21-23 ATLA used book sale, there are plenty of other vintage items that are, including jigsaw puzzles from the 1930s and some early Peanuts, Star Wars, Sesame Street and Donald Duck puzzles. These will be in the collectibles' section at the sale.
