ArtWorks team completes mural in Over-the-Rhine | Arts & Culture

OVER-THE-RHINE, OH (FOX19) - ArtWorks Cincinnati employed nine teens and three professional artists to paint a mural in Over-the-Rhine as a part of the Taft Museum of Art’s “Art For All” project.

The mural is located at 28 W 13th Street.  It is on the corner of Race St. and 13th St., overlooking Washington Park.

ArtWorks employed approximately 115 teenagers this summer at an average salary of $1,500 to work on 15 public art projects throughout Greater Cincinnati. Teen unemployment remains higher than general unemployment in the United States, despite studies that show that having summer jobs has a positive benefit in teen’s future educational and career prospects.
