   Welcome to the City of Agrabah! Sit back and let yourself be enchanted by the Cincinnati Black Theatre Children's Company! Come along and take One Jump Ahead on a whimsical adventure when CBTC Children's Company presents Disney's Aladdin Jr at the Fairfield Community Arts Center on Saturday and Sunday, May 5th and 6th.  We all know the story of the adventurous Prince Ali and Jasmine who seek to find A Whole New World in which they have never lived before!  Disney has brought us memorable and unforgettable animated films, characters, music, and movies for years. CBTC is embarking on a tale of wonder and delight in Aladdin Jr, which is sure to captivate the audiences!

   CBTC Children's company has thrilled and wowed the stages of the Greater Cincinnati area for years. It's no wonder that they have chosen yet another classic, Disney’s Aladdin Jr, to explore and bring to the stage! With admirable renditions of Academy Award winning songs, A Whole New World, and Friend Like Me, you are captivated once again by the excellence of the young talented and theatrical artists within the CBTC Children's Company!

   You have eased on the down the yellow brick road with CBTC Children's Company in The WIZ, discovered life happily-ever after in The Other Cinderella and discovered the circle of life in The Lion King, you will once again be transformed as CBTC Children's company invites you to the City of Enchantment where it becomes possible to find friendship, love, freedom and discover who you really are!  CBTC Children’s Company has compelled audiences with astounding, high-spirited choreography and impressive, stunning vocal arrangements!

   CBTC has shown such exuberant talent onstage, behind the scenes, and in schools throughout Greater Cincinnati communities!  CBTC instills the love of the arts as they Keep Alive the Spirit of African American Theatre through history and present day influences and experiences of African-Americans in all forms of the arts.

Great Opportunity for Children

   CBTC gives the opportunity for all children from all backgrounds and ages to apply their performance and technical skills learned from CBTC's comprehensive Imagine That! Arts & Education Program in Saturday Performing Arts Classes, After School programs and Summer Performing Arts Camp. Students have the opportunity to use what they learn while performing, running lights and sound, working with costumes and make-up, or designing the set. CBTC Children’s Company is comprised of children from various Cincinnati schools, including SCPA.

   This is not the first time that Disney and CBTC have met! In 2003 and 2005, CBTC was host to Disney Theatrical Productions as they held auditions here in Cincinnati for National and Broadway touring productions of The Lion King! A local child was cast as Young Simba for the National Tour!

   CBTC is thrilled to share again with Disney the love and story of such unforgettable characters! Let CBTC Children’s Company‘s Aladdin Jr take your imagination on a magic carpet ride once again!
