2013 ArtsWave kick off on Fountain Square | Arts & Culture

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The region's largest funder of the arts will hold its annual community campaign kick off on Fountain Square.

ArtsWave Campaign Chair George Vincent will announce the fundraising goal for the campaign in brief remarks beginning at noon on Friday, February 8.

The kick-off event includes a fun, participatory dance performance by Pones, Inc., ice carving, an appearance by Cincinnati Reds' mascot Mr. Redlegs, and free ice skating courtesy of 3CDC from Noon to 1 p.m. Free cookies and cocoa courtesy of CrEATtions by Melody and Coffee Emporium will be available. Audience members are invited to wear red hats, scarves, and gloves to join in the festivities.

In 2012, over 38,000 individuals, foundations and corporations contributed $11.2 million to support local music, theatre, dance, museums and more.
