Cincinnati woman wins VH1 reality show

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Cincinnati woman has won a VH1 reality show and its $250,000 price.

Mindy Hall, who is a bartender at Mainstay Bar downtown, won "I Love Money 4."

The show takes contestants from previous VH1 shows, including I Love New York, Rock of Love, Daisy of Love, For the Love of Ray J, Real Chance of Love, and Megan Wants a Millionaire.

Hall appeared on the Rock of Love bus tour.

Her twin sister, Cindy Hall, was a contestant on Survivor: Guatemala.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County Board of Health has voted to approve the layoff rationale statement for 20 department employees, the first step in the layoff process.

The move is part of City Manager Milton Dohoney's 2011-12 budget proposal, which calls for a $2.8 million reduction in the health department's general fund budget.

CINCINNNATI, OH (FOX19) - You could almost taste the anger from the several hundred people who attended a public hearing on the city manager's proposed budget.

One by one, people told council they don't support the city manager's proposed cuts.

"These are people with families, and they've got bills, just like I do," said Sharon Koehler as she testified at the city council budge hearing Wednesday at Duke Energy Center.

"The mayor didn't even take time out of his busy schedule to be here at this meeting, and that my friend, is outrageous," said NAACP president Chris Smitherman.

FOX19 didn't hear one person say they support the Dohoney plan, a plan he says would save the city enough money to balance a budget that right now is $60 million short for 2011.

Cincinnati Bengals kick off their Toys for Tots collection

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Bengals and the United States Marine Corps Reserves are teaming up again for the Annual Toys for Tots Collection on Sunday, December 5 before the Bengals/Saints game at Paul Brown Stadium.  U.S. Marine Corps Reserves will be at all entrances to Paul Brown Stadium with Mobile Storage Depot Containers to collect new, unwrapped toys and cash donations.  All contributions benefit the less fortunate children in our community.

Memorial events mark anniversary of the Who concert tragedy

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Two memorial events are planned for this Friday to marking the 31st anniversary of the concert tragedy at the Who Concert at Riverfront Coliseum.

11 lanterns of remembrance will be lit for each of the victims on the concourse between US Bank Arena and Great American Ballpark at 7 p.m.

That's followed by a reception at 8 p.m. At Longworth Hall, sponsored by the Who Concert Tragedy Memorial Committee.

11 people were trampled to death while entering the concert on December 3, 1979.
